CRISP Shared Services (CSS) serves as the technology partner for health information exchange (HIE) affiliates in Maryland, DC, West Virginia, Connecticut, Alaska, Virginia and other jurisdictions. CSS facilitates the electronic transfer of clinical information between disparate information systems in order to positively impact the healthcare system through improved patient care and outcomes, reduced costs, and data-driven understanding of regional public health concerns.

 

Job Summary 

The Sr Market Director – Kentucky is responsible for leading CRISP Shared Services’ in-market strategy, stakeholder engagement, and program alignment across the Commonwealth. This role blends external market leadership with light-touch program oversight to ensure successful adoption and execution of Health Data Utility (HDU) and HIE initiatives.

 

The Sr Market Director serves as the primary relationship owner for Kentucky stakeholders while partnering with CSS implementation and operations teams to ensure successful delivery. This role does not own full operational or P&L responsibility but plays a critical role in aligning strategy, execution, and stakeholder success.

Market Leadership & Stakeholder Engagement (Primary Focus)

  • Serve as the primary in-state representative for CSS across Kentucky 
  • Build and manage relationships with:
    • State agencies and Medicaid leadership
    • Health systems, providers, and MCOs
    • Public health and community organizations
  • Represent CSS in state meetings, advisory groups, and strategic initiatives such as RHTP and Value-Based payment initiatives
  • Maintain strong “voice of the customer” feedback loops to CSS leadership 

 

Strategy & Growth Support

  • Identify and advance new business opportunities (state contracts, grants, partnerships) 
  • Assist executive leadership in responding to RFPs and strategic opportunities 
  • Contribute market intelligence to inform CSS product and expansion strategy 

 

Program Oversight (Not Day-to-Day Implementation)

  • Provide program-level oversight across implementations and onboarding efforts 
  • Partner with implementation teams to: 
    • Align projects with stakeholder expectations 
    • Monitor timelines, risks, and adoption 
    • Escalate and remove barriers to success 
  • Ensure initiatives are positioned for successful adoption and utilization 

 

Adoption, Use Case Development & Enablement

  • Drive adoption of CSS solutions by: 
    • Identifying high-value use cases
    • Promoting best practices across stakeholders 
    • Partnering with KHIE account managers to communicate value
  • Review utilization metrics and identify gaps in adoption 
  • Document and share successful use cases across CSS affiliates 

 

Cross-Functional Coordination

  • Act as the bridge between Kentucky stakeholders and CSS internal teams 
  • Coordinate across strategy, product, implementation, and operations 

 

Project & Implementation Support (Light Layer)

  • Support scoping and requirements discussions for new initiatives 
  • Provide input into SOWs, project plans, and stakeholder expectations
  • Track progress across multiple initiatives without owning day-to-day project management 
  • Help ensure solutions are effectively implemented and delivering value

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred 
  • 7–12 years of experience in healthcare, public health, or health IT 
  • Experience working with state agencies, Medicaid programs, or health systems 
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills 
  • Understanding of healthcare interoperability (HIE, HL7, FHIR, etc.) 
  • Ability to manage multiple initiatives and navigate complex environments 

 

Preferred

  • Experience with HIEs or Health Data Utility (HDU) models 
  • Exposure to implementation or program management in health IT 
  • Familiarity with state procurement and funding (e.g., Medicaid, CMS, IAPDs) 
  • Experience working across multiple stakeholders and jurisdictions

Summary

Compensation and Benefits Package

  • Targeted base salary: $150,000 - $180,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications, plus benefits and bonuses.
  • Benefits include the following but are not limited to health, dental, vision, life and disability insurance. CSS also has a 403(b) plan with discretionary employer match and contributions. You will be eligible for 20 days of Paid Time Off per year (accrued in accordance with CSS' policies). PTO is in addition to 8 company designated holidays. If you are not PTO eligible, you may be eligible for applicable state and/or local sick and safe leave in accordance with the provisions of any applicable state and/or local sick and safe leave laws.
