Job Description

Position Title: Field Tracker 

Position Reports To: Project Manager 

Position Summary:  

The Field Tracker is responsible for providing technical expertise to the site manager/project management at the jobsite during the planning and implementation of the project scope. This role ensures that work is being performed according to the spec and customer requirements at a high level of quality and safety. This individual may be asked to perform various roles as needed to ensure that the job site is running smoothly and that the work is being completed at a high level of quality and safety. 

Essential Functions  

  • Assist various field managers regarding quality, safety, job schedules, performance, and potential work scope issues that may arise 

  • Work with site management to identify scope of work changes as they occur and communicate this information to as directed. 

  • Communicate among your team members, the customer, and subcontractors as needed. 

  • Ensure proper maintenance of onsite equipment 

  • Provide service and customer support during field visits or dispatches

  • Tie workflow to schedule

  • Manage all on site installation, repair, maintenance, and test tasks

  • Diagnose errors or technical problems and determine proper solutions

  • Other duties as assigned. 

Education & Experience 

  • HS diploma (equivalent or higher)

  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience of related industry experience  

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities 

  • Ability to multi-task, manage multiple projects and competing priorities.   

  • Must be highly motivated with strong problem-solving skills and strong interpersonal skills. 

  • Demonstrate excellent written and oral skills related to proposals and presentations.  

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.  

  • Strong leadership and motivational skills.   

Work Conditions/Physical Demands 

  • Remaining in a stationary position, often standing, or sitting for prolonged periods.  

  • Light work that includes moving objects up to 20 pounds. 

  • No adverse environmental conditions expected.

  • Must be able to work in high noise volumes, toxic or caustic chemicals, fumes, airborne particles, dusty conditions, hazardous machinery, precarious places, proximity to other employees.
