Position Summary:
To provide clinical optometric care in a professional manner to the YK Delta populace.
Position Qualifications:
- Minimum Education:
- Graduate
- Diploma from an accredited school of optometry.
- Licensing/Certification:
- Must have an Alaska license and be certified to use both diagnostic and therapeutic agents.
- Successfully pass the Treatment and Management of Ocular Disease (TMOD) certification or the National Board of Examiners in Optometry equivalent.
- Equipment/Tools:
- Must have the computer skills needed to access computerized medical records.
- Specialized Knowledge and Skills:
- General Optometry
- Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Ability to supervise medical students, residents, and physician extenders, and Community Health Aide clinical practice. Also oversee medical staff in their service area.
