- Position: Registered Nurse (RN) – Monitor Bed Unit (MBU)
- Employment Type: Full-Time
- Shift: Day Shift (1st Shift; days vary)
- Travel: None required
- Supervisory Responsibilities: None
- Compensation: Commensurate with experience
Position Overview
The Registered Nurse in the Monitor Bed Unit (MBU) provides direct, patient-centered care utilizing clinical expertise, critical thinking, and evidence-based practice. This role involves continuous patient monitoring, timely intervention, and collaboration with the interdisciplinary care team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Continuously monitor patient conditions and respond promptly to clinical changes
- Perform comprehensive assessments for patients across the lifespan
- Administer medications safely using electronic medical record systems
- Interpret cardiac rhythms and respond appropriately to abnormalities
- Assist physicians with examinations, procedures, and specialized treatments
- Provide patient and family education, support, and advocacy
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with regulatory standards
- Ensure a safe, clean, and compliant patient care environment
- Collaborate effectively with physicians and interdisciplinary team members
Minimum Qualifications
- Licensure: Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina
- Certifications:
- Basic Life Support (CPR) – required
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) – required within 6 months of hire
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) – preferred
- Experience: Recent Critical Care and/or Medical-Surgical experience required

Employment Requirements
- Compliance with all health and safety policies, including vaccination requirements (approved exemptions considered)
