The Routing / Loading Supervisor (3rd Shift) is responsible for overseeing the accurate and timely routing and loading of outbound deliveries to ensure operational efficiency and customer satisfaction. This role leads a team of loaders and works closely with transportation, warehouse, and dispatch teams to coordinate nightly distribution activities and ensure safety and accuracy in every shipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise 3rd shift routing and loading operations, ensuring timely and accurate preparation of outgoing shipments
- Verify that routes are properly assigned and trucks are loaded according to delivery schedules and safety standards
- Coordinate with dispatch, warehouse, and transportation teams to resolve issues or delays
- Train and coach loading personnel on procedures, safety protocols, and productivity standards
- Monitor inventory staging and loading accuracy to prevent order discrepancies
- Conduct regular inspections of loading equipment and report any maintenance needs
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment in accordance with company policies
- Prepare and review shift reports, logs, and other documentation as needed
- Motivate and manage team performance through coaching, disciplinary actions, and ongoing development
- Approve timecards and manage employee time-off requests
- Perform other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- 3+ years of experience in warehouse operations, logistics, or distribution, including 1+ year in a supervisory or team lead role
- Proven ability to manage teams in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work overnight shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in the automotive aftermarket or distribution industry
- Familiarity with routing software and warehouse management systems (WMS)
- Forklift certification or ability to become certified

Work Environment and Physical Demands
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., bend, twist, stand, and walk for extended periods
- Work is performed in a warehouse environment with exposure to varying temperatures and noise levels
- Must be able to work overnight/3rd shift hours
