Job Description:
Under the direction of the Superintendent of Maintenance, Vanpool/Paratransit, the Vanpool Driver Clerk is responsible for the preparation and deployment of the Pace vanpool fleet. Key functions include:
Assisting vanpool services in providing technical assistance and support in the areas of maintenance, permanent and or loaner van assignment, new vehicle acceptance/preparation, vehicle retirement and or replacement, fleet maintenance tracking and coordination.
Conducting vehicle inspections.
Performing other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Age:
Must be 21 years of age or older.
Education:
Must have at minimum a high school diploma or equivalency.
Experience:
Must have at least 3 years' experience in transportation with a good work record, including attendance history; supervisory experience is preferred.
Certifications:
Must possess a valid driver's license.
Proficiencies:
Must possess ability to explain and understand automotive performance issues and the ability to identify automotive parts and safety systems.
Must demonstrate the ability to inspect vehicles and identify potential safety issues. Ability to interact with repair facilities and determine necessary repairs.
Perform basic mechanical duties.
Must have the basic knowledge of automotive systems and ability to use basic hand tools, diagnostic readers and perform basic mechanical repairs, i.e. light bulbs wiper blades, etc.
Physical Requirements:
Must be capable of lift, carry and move items weighing up to 50 lbs.
Working Conditions:
Work is performed in a garage setting with exposure to loud noises and noxious odors, and outdoors with exposure to inclement weather. This position is not eligible for a hybrid work schedule or remote work.
Salary
Full Salary Range: $38,123-$78,202
Midpoint: $58,163
Anticipated Starting Salary Range: $48,143-$58,163
