Position Duties

  • Operate heavy motorized equipment, such as mini and medium-reach excavators, front-end loaders, roll-off trucks, tandem dump trucks, and lowboys. 
  • Perform the primary duty of this role which is the operation of a roll-off truck, but your duties may also include ditch construction and maintenance. 
  • Perform sustained physical labor, including driving, lifting, pulling, bending, and minor maintenance on equipment. 
  • May also supervise a small work crew. 
  • May at times need to be on call on a 24-hour basis as this role is on the Critical Work Force Category 2. 
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED, and 
  • At least two (2) years’ experience in heavy equipment operation and repair, including heavy construction equipment, or 
  • Any equivalent combination of training and experience. 
  • Must possess and maintain a Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) at time of application.
  • Must possess or be able to obtain within six months of employment a Hazardous Material and Tanker endorsement. 
  • Must provide and wear approved steel toe protective footwear during work hours.
