Job Description

Position Title: Telematic Technician
Company: fssGO
Location: 100% Travel – Field-Based
Reports To: Installation Lead
Job Type: Full Time, Non-Exempt
Schedule: Includes evening, weekend, and on-call work

Who We’re Looking For

If you’ve ever fixed something in your car just to prove you could, we might be your people. This field based role supports our mobile teams as we install dash cams, GPS systems, sensors, and other vehicle electronics nationwide. You’ll be on the road, in the elements, and under the dash—but you’ll be part of a crew that knows what good work looks like.

This is a great entry point into the growing vehicle tech industry with hands-on learning and clear paths to growth.

What You’ll Do

  • Assist with installation of vehicle electronics such as dash cams, GPS units, telematics, and wiring harnesses
  • Ensure all necessary parts, tools, and paperwork are prepped and ready for each installation day
  • Support lead technicians with mounting, wiring, testing, and system setup tasks
  • Maintain cleanliness, professionalism, and safety on job sites including vehicle interiors
  • Participate in end-of-day wrap-ups including cleanup, inventory checks, and reporting

What You Bring

  • Ability to work on your feet all day in mobile environments
  • Clean driving record and willingness to travel 100%
  • Careful attention to detail, especially in tight vehicle spaces
  • Comfort with hand tools, wiring, and working around vehicle interiors
  • A “let’s get it done” attitude—even when it’s cold or raining

Nice to Have

No formal training required, but you’ll stand out if you have:

  • MECP Basic Certification
  • Experience with telematics, mobile installs, or fleet work
  • Automotive or low-voltage wiring background
  • OSHA 10 or basic safety training
  • 12 Volt installation experience

Who Shouldn’t Apply
If you're someone who cuts corners, gets flustered in tight spaces, or needs a desk to do your best work, this probably isn’t your role. We need people who show up, dig in, and follow through, no matter the weather.

Why You’ll Love It Here

  • Direct exposure to cutting-edge vehicle tech installs
  • Small teams, big impact—your work won’t go unnoticed
  • Fast-paced but never chaotic, with a clear chain of command
  • Growth from helper to lead for those who step up

Our Benefits

  • Competitive compensation
  • Medical, Dental, Vision, and 401K
  • Paid time off and holidays
  • Field pay and travel coverage
