Job Description
  • Monitor and manage the health and readiness of our data collection fleet vehicles, ensuring consistent and reliable data capture.

  • Define and apply criteria for selecting the most relevant and impactful data for the annotation process.

  • Coordinate and participate in the data upload workflow, ensuring data integrity, traceability, and timely availability for downstream teams.

  • Identify and resolve operational bottlenecks across the data collection and ingestion pipeline.

  • Provide daily leadership, mentorship, and professional development for ops team members.

  • Collaborate with engineering, annotation, and product teams to align data operations with project priorities and model training needs.

  • Track and report on fleet status, data throughput, and operational KPIs to ensure daily, monthly, and quarterly goals are met.

  • 5+ years of leadership experience in a fast-paced, professional environment supervising 5 or more employees.

  • Strong operational mindset with experience managing physical assets, fleets, or hardware-dependent workflows.

  • Excellent influencing skills and a demonstrated ability to collaborate with key business partners and stakeholders.

  • A proactive approach to identifying coaching needs, building development plans grounded in observation and performance trends, and growing team members toward optimal results.

  • Strong problem-solving skills with an aptitude for quickly learning new systems and tools.

  • A proven track record of executing against critical, high-visibility deadlines.

  • Experience managing multiple competing priorities with limited resources.

  • Excellent presentation and communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to navigate ambiguity and stay self-motivated.

  • Familiarity with data management processes, quality metrics, and continuous improvement practices.

  • Experience with defect management and cross-functional collaboration in a Product or Feature development environment.

  • Proficiency with project and knowledge management tools such as Jira, Confluence, JAMA, or similar platforms.
