CPR Instructor

This is a part-time position. Pay is $26/hr.
SUMMARY:
Assist the Education Department in the implementation and instruction of the American Heart Association (AHA) programs by Life EMS.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ensure daily customer happiness
- Development and implementation of a variety of American Heart Association (AHA) - CPR and First Aid courses, providing direct instruction to students as well as mentoring instructors or student instructors assisting in courses
- Assist the Director of Education Centre in achieving department goals and educational quality initiatives
- Review student performance during course instruction
- Follow all policies and procedures of the Education Centre
- Maintain and submit records as directed by policy
- Attend meetings as requested by and for the Director of Education Centre
- Demonstrates the ability to represent Life EMS as an AHA Training Center Faculty member and oversee other instructors providing assistance within the training class
- Assists in the instruction of CPR Instructor Courses as requested by the Director of Education Centre
- Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS:
- AHA BLS Instructor certification
- Evidence of instructor experience along with outstanding leadership and communications skills that demonstrate an ability to effectively educate individuals ranging from the lay public through other experienced health care professionals
- Interviewed by Life EMS designee
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must maintain a valid State of Michigan driver�s license and a good driving record
- Must have a high school diploma or G.E.D.
- Must pass all Life EMS pre-employment requirements as outlined on the Conditional Offer of Employment
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: While performing the duties of this job, the associate is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk or hear; taste or smell. The associate must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
