Job Description

Completes all assigned expo prep work and sets up expo station.  Maintains product presentation, quality and cook time standards.  Reviews and garnishes all orders prior to table delivery to ensure standard recipes, plate presentations, specifications and customer modification. Functions as the main point of contact between FOH and BOH related to food quality, ticket times, recipe modifications and kitchen to table food delivery.  Maintains state required food safety and sanitation standards. 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 

  1. Reviews every plate to ensure standard recipes, plate presentations and specifications in a timely manner. 
  2. Completes all assigned expo prep work. 
  3. Sets up expo station according to station diagram procedures at all times. 
  4. Communicates effectively and respectfully with kitchen to ensure proper ticket times and requested modification are executed properly. 
  5. Communicates effectively and respectfully with FOH to ensure prompt efficient food delivery. 
  6. Cleans and sanitizes the work area before, during and after the shift. 
  7. Completes assigned daily and weekly cleaning duties. 
  8. Practices sanitary and safe food handling. 
  9. A participating member of the team by assisting on other stations by stocking, prepping, cooking and cleaning as needed to meet cook times and standards. 
  10. Performs other duties as assigned by management. 

MANDATORY JOB REQUIREMENTS: 

  1. Take pride in product quality. 
  2. Excellent manual dexterity. 
  3. Cooperative personality. 
  4. Able to work at a rapid pace for an extended period of time. 
  5. Must be able to work an agreed upon schedule. 
  6. Good memory and ability to multi-task. 
  7. Capable of using knives, grill, fryer, oven, mixer, microwave, stove top in a safe and productive manner. – if cross training on line? 
  8. Able to respond to emergency situations to avoid imminent dangers to self and others.    
  9. Neat, well-groomed appearance.   

NON-MANDATORY JOB REQUIREMENTS: 

  • Work experience as a cook in a related industry. 

PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES 

  1. Average hours per week: 35-40 
  2. Shift : Any 
  3. Walks, stands, bends, reaches, and lifts on an ongoing and consistent basis.

  • Arrive at work station on time, in proper attire with a positive attitude. 
  • Meets or exceeds performance standards.

EXPERIENCE OR TRAINING REQUIRED: 

Successful completion of a five-day training program.
