Job Summary:
This position reports to our Field Service Manager and will serve as a technical expert working closely with coworkers, customers, and field support teams to isolate and resolve equipment issues. The key responsibilities include maintaining and optimizing equipment performance, enhancing functionality, preventing recurring problems, ensuring customer satisfaction, and transferring technical knowledge and best practices to customers.
Key Responsibilities:
· Install equipment at customer sites, including systems with new features and upgrades.
· Inspect, repair, and test equipment components to ensure proper functionality and compliance with specifications.
· Evaluate, diagnose, and repair equipment issues; escalate complex problems when necessary.
· Serve as a technical resource for customers, addressing routine malfunctions and operational concerns.
· Advise users on corrective actions and recommend procedural improvements to prevent future issues.
· Maintain detailed repair process documentation and coordinate cross-functional efforts to troubleshoot, track, and resolve failed system components.
· Maintain professional and effective communication with customers at all times.
· Provide mentorship and technical support to less experienced personnel as needed.
· Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
· Associates degree in Electronics or related field, or equivalent certificate program. Equivalent combination of education and experience may also be considered.
· Three years of relevant experience.
· Ability to work from schematics, diagrams and layouts.
· Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
· Communication skills must be adequate to interface effectively with customers.
· Experience using hand tools, multi-meters and oscilloscopes.
· Detail-oriented, following through on tasks.
· Experience with Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel.
· Experience working with ERP or CRM software (SAP, Oracle, SalesForce, INFOR, etc.)
· Ability to work extended hours as required.
· Willingness to travel domestic and international, up to 25%.
· Possess valid Driver’s License and personal Motor Vehicle.
· Possess or be eligible to acquire a Passport.
· Ability to lift 50 lbs.
Preferred Qualifications:
· Experience with three phase AC Power.
· Experience with pneumatic systems.
· Experience with PLC and VFD controls.
· Experience with heating/refrigeration systems.
