Schedule/Hours: Monday through Sunday as needed up to 29 hours a week with minimal travel.
This position is responsible for:
Leading children’s activities at an after-school program, including classroom training, tutoring, sports activities, bible study, computer programs and specialized programs; prepares and serves children lunch and snacks; assists in leading field trips; maintains the cleanliness of the after school area; transports passengers in a Salvation Army vehicle.

Physical Requirements:
- Ability to meet attendance requirements.
- Ability to read, write and communicate the English language effectively.
- Ability to observe children and ensure their safety.
- Ability to drive a Salvation Army vehicle safely observing all laws, regulations, and policies.
- Ability to pass DOT requirements to drive a Salvation Army mid bus or other DOT vehicle if requested.
- Duties are usually performed by combinations of sitting, standing and walking on a frequent change basis.
- Limited amount of physical effort required associated with walking, standing, lifting and carrying light objects (less than 25 lbs.) frequently.
Working Conditions:
- Work is performed in an indoor and outdoor environment where there may be physical discomforts associated with changes in weather or discomforts associated with noise, dust, dirt and the like.
