Your future role on our team

BBA
has a new opportunity for a junior civil designer (3D) in our Sudbury office to
support the delivery of technical expertise, civil and infrastructure design
requirements within a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment. This role
will provide the successful candidate a wide range of challenging projects
within heavy industry including traditional and diversified energy projects,
wind and solar, mining, brownfield and greenfield projects.

Design roads, platforms and underground piping for mining and energy projects using 3D modelling software such as Autodesk Civil 3D
Generate various reports, process data collected on site and create detailed plans
Participate in project kick-off meetings with stakeholders and serve as a consultant in your area of expertise

Summary of certifications and job
requirements

College or vocational diploma in civil engineering with demonstrated expertise in drafting/CAD technology or similar
Ideally have 1-5 years of experience
Understanding of surveying and coordinate systems
In-depth knowledge of Autodesk Civil 3D software for design and quantity calculations
Available to work in the office and for occasional travel to remote project sites
Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
Familiarity with national and local codes related to site drainage and erosion control
Proficiency in MS Office
Proven ability to read and understand both 2D and 3D drawings
Asset: knowledge or understanding of the principles of surveying
Asset: previous site inspection experience
Asset: Familiarity with AutoCAD and/or Revit

Junior Civil Designer
