- Follow behavior management plans for individual student(s).
- Assist in the implementation and monitoring of students Individual Education Plans.
- Assist in implementing consistent behavior management strategies and procedures.
- Perform personal care duties for student(s) with disabilities as needed (including but not limited to: feeding, clothing, lavatory, toileting, diapering and wash-up routines)
- Operates and cares for equipment used in the classroom for instructional purposes.
- Maintains the same high level of ethical behavior and confidentiality of information about students as is expected of the teacher.
- Has a good working relationship with all other persons.
- Completes all other tasks assigned by the supervising teacher.
- Attends to other such duties as may be assigned by the building principal.
- Help children get organized for individual study.
- Assist and work with pupils individually, particularly with those having difficulty.
- Help in the classroom while the teacher is busy with another group of students.
- Demonstrate effective communication skills with students, parents, staff and administration.
