Overview
The Law Society is seeking a highly organised and proactive Senior Administrator to join the Data Team in the Finance and Operations Department. The ideal candidate act as the main point of contact for requests for updates to records on the Society’s digital practice records and will be an experienced at maintaining and navigating digital records. Familiarity with database and the legal environment would be an advantage. It is important that the successful candidate is flexible in their approach to work.
Main Duties & Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will carry out the following duties in line with the Society’s standards and strategic objectives and as directed by the Data Team Lead.
The duties primarily involve ongoing reviews of updated digital records including:

- Acting as the central point of contact for all correspondence regarding updates to digital records on a membership database.
- Providing prompt responses to requests for digital updates from varying departments.
- Assisting with annual updates to digital records.
- Ongoing review and updates to firm records.
- Assisting the Data team lead with maintenance of clean consistent data.
- Dealing with queries on regulatory history of solicitors.
- Preparing data for release as directed by Data Team Lead.
- Updating records as requested by Database Team Lead.
- Responding to queries from the Profession and other Regulated institutions.
- Other miscellaneous duties assigned by the Data Team lead.
Knowledge & Skills
- Experience navigating digital records or membership management systems.
- Excellent administrative, communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent IT skills in Microsoft programmes.
- A good eye for detail, and ability to carry out accurate and precise work under pressure and time constraints.
- An ability to work on his or her own initiative, as part of a team and be proactive in their role.
- Have a flexible approach to his or her work and responsibilities.
- Some experience working in a regulatory, legal or other professional environment.
