The Role at a Glance – Ambassador Lead Porter a Bill Jacobs company
As a Lead Porter, you serve as the central point of coordination for vehicle movement across our dealership network. You are the go-to leader for porter operations—ensuring vehicles are transported efficiently between locations while maintaining a seamless, professional experience for both internal teams and customers.
This role blends leadership, logistics, and service. You’ll oversee porter activity, coordinate inter-dealership vehicle transfers, and partner closely with service and sales leadership to keep operations running smoothly.
What You’ll Do
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all porter-related vehicle movement across dealerships
- Coordinate vehicle transfers between locations, ensuring timely pick-ups and deliveries
- Dispatch and direct porters based on daily needs, workload, and store priorities
- Oversee daily porter operations across dealerships, lots, and wash areas
- Monitor porter attendance, punctuality, and productivity
- Support shuttle logistics and ensure a professional customer transportation experience
- Act as the liaison between porters and leadership, providing direction and feedback
- Ensure all areas (lots, service drives, and customer spaces) are clean, organized.
- Lead by example, assisting with vehicle movement and supporting team needs as required

What We’re Looking For
Requirements
Must-Haves:
- 2+ years in a leadership, coordination, or supervisory role
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Valid driver’s license with an insurable record
- Ability to manage logistics across multiple locations
- Team-first mindset with a hands-on leadership approach
- Reliable, proactive, and able to work independently
- Experience scheduling teams and ensuring operational coverage
Nice-to-Haves:
- Automotive or dealership experience
- Experience coordinating vehicle logistics or fleet movement
- Familiarity with service drive or lot operations
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) a plus
