As a Service Engineer, you are required to work on rotating shifts (including weekends and public holidays). Your summary of responsibilities & duties include but not limited to:
- On-site diagnose and resolve technical problems
- Performs preventative maintenance.
- Provides technical assistance to Installation Engineer onsite as needed
- Escalate field issues to Technical Support Team and follow up on solutions to address and fix issues in a timely manner.
60% of the essential functions are:
Working directly at customers' site to diagnose BNSM instruments and service issues by:
- Diagnosing, research, experiment, test, develop, optimize, communicate and execute the most efficient solution plan for complex electro-mechanical hardware or software instrument issues and user issues.
- Maximizing instrument and/or accessory capability and performance to meet specification and/or customer application requirement.
- Creating and maintaining service record or daily report of activity in database.
- Escalating the issue on time and follow up on solutions to address and fix issues in a timely manner.
- Providing basic application support to enhance time-to-solution.
- Providing user training and guidance to end-users.
The other 40% of the essential work are:
- Installation and qualify BNSM instrument, upgrade, and/or accessories.
- Any other duties assigned.
To be successful for this position, you will:
- Located in Hsinchu and have chance to travel around Taiwan to different customers’ sites.
- Be able to work in cleanroom, production floor, & laboratory environments.
- Possess the following Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Customer focused. Passionate about science and technology & enabling customers with Bruker technology.
- Demonstrated excellent analytical capability, theoretical understanding of physics, working knowledge of electronics, mechanics, control systems, computers, networking, and common tooling such as oscilloscope, multi-meter, etc… to be an effective problem solver of complex system, product user, and/or application issues.
- Demonstrated ability to install, qualify and be a trainer and technical resource that effectively empowers our customers and internal team for complex electro-mechanical instrumentation and application modules.
- Demonstrated ability to provide clear, logical, and effective communication.
- Able to develop, communicate, implement, and execute assigned project including achieving required deliverables on time.
- Posses the following Education & Experience requirements:
- BS degree in scientific or engineering field (Mechanical, Electrical, Electro-optical, Controlling Engineering) from accredited university or college with at least 5 - 8 years relevant experience.
- Masters degree in scientific or engineering field (Mechanical, Electrical, Electro-optical, Controlling Engineering) with 3 - 5 years experience can be considered.
- English proficiency: high intermediate, competent of communication in oral and written with TOEIC score above 600 or equivalent test score available.
