Production Technician 2 is an essential intermediate position within the Creation Technologies, tasked with handling moderately complex production technical process activities, advanced troubleshooting, and contributing to improvement projects. This role is a steppingstone for professionals looking to deepen their manufacturing technical expertise, offering a blend of hands-on experience and involvement in improvement initiatives. Responsibilities include advanced troubleshooting down to the root cause level and identification of process improvement opportunities.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include, but not limited to: 
• Engages in the setup and operation of Intermediate level manufacturing equipment to existing specifications, ensuring optimal performance and adherence to safety standards.
• Handles intermediate level production tasks and issues as necessary, ensuring compliance with quality standards and that products meet process specifications and standards.
• Provides support in basic daily and weekly appraisal and rudimentary maintenance of equipment and tools necessary for the electronic manufacturing processes.
• Demonstrates a in-depth knowledge of electronics processes and assembly, with an ability to interpret technical documentation effectively.
• Executes new Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and ensures compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.
• Tackles complex technical problems, independently, proposing feasible solutions and effectively communicate them to appropriate stakeholders.
• Collaborates effectively with cross-functional teams, sharing insights and contributing to decision-making.
• Executes and supports the integration of new technologies and systems, provides feedback, Enhancing efficiency and product performance. Ensures accurate records and adherence to protocols.
• Support continuous improvement efforts by providing feedback on existing processes and implements and optimizes production processes, ensuring operational efficiency and adherence to best practices.
• Conducts intermediate level troubleshooting and problem-solving, providing expert-level technical support to the manufacturing team.
• Leads projects or sub-projects under the broader scope of manufacturing programs, coordinating with engineering teams to ensure on time delivery.
• Provides technical support and guidance to junior technicians, enhancing team skills and productivity.
 

QUALIFICATIONS: 
Education and Required Experience
• High School Degree, GED or military training experience. With a focus on vocational skills preferred
• Minimum of 3+ years of relevant experience in a manufacturing or technical environment.


Skills Required
• Advanced understanding of electronics manufacturing and troubleshooting.
• Knowledgeable about IPC 610 Standard and/or J-STD-001. 
• Proficiency in interpreting technical documents and specifications.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Effective oral and written English communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team, managing multiple tasks efficiently.
• Leadership qualities and the ability to mentor junior technicians or interns.
• Effective understanding of Lean principles, six sigma and industrial ergonomics preferred. 
• Familiar with PLM, MES, and CMMS systems.

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the anticipated salary is $25.00 to $27.00 per hour. Full-time employees are also eligible for performance-based bonuses and benefits. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary as a final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience, education, location and shift.
