REPORTS TO Warehouse Manager
SUMMARY
Specialized Bicycle Components is looking for a leader to help run our Salt Lake City Warehouse. Candidates must be highly motivated, hardworking, self-starters who are ready to go the extra mile to ensure we keep the warehouse running like a finely tuned machine, keep our employees safe and also to keep our product shipping on time. In this position, candidates will be responsible for the functional responsibility of our Salt Lake City facilities maintenance, safety and security, perform general repairs and maintenance of facilities and grounds and any major repairs of warehouse equipment, cubicle reconfiguration and moves.
HOW YOU WILL MAKE A DIFFERENCE
- Perform projects with an emphasis on keeping warehouse production going
- Repair and maintenance of facilities which will include some plumbing, electrical, fire sprinkler systems inspections, general repair and maintenance (light changing, painting, hardware repairs, etc.), and other areas as assigned
- Facility changes such as: reconfiguration of workstations and security hardware
- Keep adequate supply of all supplies
- Responsible for acquisition, maintenance and service of powered equipment: forklifts, pallet jacks, etc.
- Train all forklift/powered equipment operators and ensure certifications are kept current
- Develop, implement, and maintain safety programs and assess effectiveness. Head the Safety Committee and follow-up on all action items
- Ensure all safety training is current for all staff: First Aid, CPR/AED, forklift, general occupational safety
- Maintain compliance with OSHA regulations, fire systems, extinguishers, hazmat, first aid kits, and AED machine
- Attend to safety related issues and follow up on all hazard observation reports
- Oversee building security
- Operate within budget guidelines
- Other duties as assigned
WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO WIN
- High school diploma required, college degree preferred
- Two to five years experience in facilities related duties – plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and carpentry
- Highly motivated self starter - able to work with little or no supervision
- Ability to earn forklift certification and trainer certification
- Computer skills, word processing
- Negotiation skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities
- Ability to use hand tools, work in high areas and/or small spaces, and walk on uneven surfaces
- Ability to lift 50-70 pounds
