    DURATION:Spring 2026 Session: March 2, 2026 � June 5, 2026
    Monday � Thursday, 3:30 p.m. � 4:30 p.m. (50 days / 13 weeks)
    COMPENSATION:

    $55 per hour

    • Additional Instructors (up to 3): Up to 13 hours per instructor

    (Funded through Prop 28 allocation; not to exceed allocated hours)

    DESCRIPTION:

    The LEVEL UP? After School Creative Program is designed to provide students at Lloyde High School and Lawndale High School with high-level artistic development while connecting their creative interests to real-world applications and career pathways.

    The program emphasizes outcome-based learning, requiring students to produce a final project or product aligned to real-world opportunities in the arts, entrepreneurship, and creative industries.

    Program strands include:

    • Art & Creative Skill Development: Portfolio-building through structured independent artistic practice
    • Marketing & Brand Development: Brand strategy, content creation, and digital media projects (e.g., social media campaigns)
    • Creative Writing: Poetry, memoir, fiction, and screenplay writing, including self-publishing opportunities
    • Entrepreneurial Strategy & Creative Thinking: Business development, creative problem-solving, and production of branding materials (logos, websites, marketing assets)

    Additional program components include:

    • Weekly guest speakers from industry professionals focusing on innovation in the arts, A.I. integration, entrepreneurship, and overcoming creative barriers
    • Real-world application of creative and business skills
    • Cross-curricular collaboration and student-centered project development

    Additional Instructor Responsibilities:

    • Provide specialized support in artistic and creative disciplines
    • Mentor students and assist with project development
    • Collaborate with the primary instructor to enhance program delivery
       
    MINIMUM QUALIFICATION(S):
    • Valid California Teaching Credential (Visual/Performing Arts, English, CTE, or related field preferred)
    • Experience or interest in arts education, creative industries, entrepreneurship, or project-based learning
    • Ability to support diverse learners and foster student creativity and engagement
