Job Description

Troubleshoot complex hardware issues, keep critical systems running, and grow your technical expertise in a fast-paced, team-driven environment.

As a Data Center Technician, you serve as a key resolver within your support team, responsible for troubleshooting and resolving complex hardware infrastructure issues. You play an active role in maintaining operational continuity by addressing server-related problems, contributing to team knowledge sharing, and ensuring consistent documentation through ticketing systems. This role requires both independent problem-solving and strong collaboration, as you work closely with team members and supervisors to maintain performance standards and continuously improve.

In this position, you are expected to develop a deep understanding of the equipment and systems you support, allowing you to diagnose issues efficiently and execute hardware repairs or replacements when needed. You take direction with enthusiasm, demonstrate close attention to detail, and remain adaptable by incorporating feedback into your day-to-day work. Success in this role comes from balancing autonomous execution with effective communication and teamwork.

 

As a Data Center Technician, You Will

  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex hardware infrastructure issues
  • Independently diagnose and resolve server-related issues
  • Perform hardware replacements and repairs as needed
  • Develop in-depth knowledge of supported equipment and systems
  • Support team members by sharing technical knowledge and best practices
  • Document work and maintain accurate records using ticketing systems
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure efficient issue resolution
  • Work closely with supervisors to receive, apply, and act on feedback
  • Follow direction carefully while maintaining strong attention to detail

 

In This Role, You Bring

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Basic networking knowledge, including understanding of TCP/IP (1+ years)
  • Familiarity with server or computer hardware components (1+ years)
  • Experience using ticketing systems and maintaining documentation
  • Ability to perform basic network troubleshooting
  • Ability to execute hardware repairs and component replacements
  • Basic knowledge of Linux/Unix command line
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team
  • Receptive to feedback and able to adjust performance and behavior as required

 

Bonus if You Have

  • CompTIA, CompTIA+ experience

    • Must successfully pass through metal detection equipment daily

  • Work Schedule:
    • Schedule flexibility required, including potential night shift positions
    • Shift options include Sunday–Wednesday or Wednesday–Saturday, 6:00 AM–4:30 PM or 7:30 AM–6:00 PM
    • Contingent workers are expected to work holidays if scheduled (regular pay, not holiday pay)
    • First two weeks: Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM–4:00 PM (Training)

Compensation

Pay Range: $21.50 - $26.50 (Hourly)    

The successful candidate’s pay will be based on various factors such as individual qualifications and work location.
