- Develop, model, test, and validate system and subsystem performance for high‑speed, high‑precision semiconductor manufacturing equipment, from feasibility through mass production.
- Collaborate cross‑functionally with mechanical, electrical, and software teams to define interfaces, execute test standards, and resolve issues through root‑cause analysis.
- Design test programs, analysis tools, and proof‑of‑concept fixtures to support new product development, performance optimization, and engineering‑to‑production transitions.
Responsibilities
- Develop test program and analysis tools to conduct feasibility studies and establish critical system and subsystem-level performance parameters and constraints.
- Work in close coordination with mechanical, electrical and software teams to conduct module/ system level validations, define and document electromechanical interface parameters with application software.
- Model, test and analyze system and subsystem-level machine performance in high-speed, high accuracy semiconductor manufacturing equipment.
- Define and execute test standards to qualify systems and sub-systems to specifications for mass production.
- Perform root-cause analysis to understand, rectify and prevent issues during transition phase between Engineering and production and beyond as 2nd line of defense.
- Design simple dynamic structures and fixtures to assist with module and sub-system level proof of concept studies.
Qualifications
- Masters/Bachelor’s degree in Mechatronics/ Mechanical/ Electrical/ Systems Engineering
- Work experience in R&D or Product Engineering preferred, as well as Semiconductor equipment and/or precision machine development experience.
- Experienced with Matlab/Simulink, Python, C/C++ and Tcl to develop test program/ scripts and data analysis tools to study machine performance.
- Principles of operation of servo control systems, vision systems, material handling systems
- Hands-on testing and data analysis experience; test planning and set-up, design of experiments, instrumentation, statistical analysis, etc.
- Experience with technical systems requirements analysis, definition, allocation, and validation.
- CAD experience (NX preferred) for electro-mechanical system design and GD&T knowledge will be a plus.
- Strong personal initiative and demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment on multi-disciplinary projects.
- Sense of timeliness and strong desire to find solutions for new product development.
- Good communication skills (written and oral)
- Willingness to work as part of a global engineering team with offices in Singapore, Europe, China, and the US; ability to travel internationally.
