    Job Summary:
    Provide academic, social, emotional and behavioral instruction.  Under general direction of the Principal, the teacher creates a flexible academic program and environment, favorable to learning and personal growth in accordance with students' ability.  Instruct children in activities designed to promote social, physical, and intellectual growth.  

    Qualifications:

    Essential Functions:
    To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily.
    1.    Provide instruction; differentiating to meet the needs of each individual student.
    2.    Establish and maintain classroom management required to achieve effective participation in all activities.
    3.    Evaluate academic and social growth of students and keep appropriate intervention records.
    4.    Communicate with parents through a variety of means.
    5.    Maintain professional competence through in-service activities provided by the District, as well as other professional growth activities. 
    6.   Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
