Rock Ridge Public Schools is currently accepting applications for Summer Day Camp Staff at the Parkview Elementary School.

Position:  Summer Day Camp Staff (2 - 3 Positions Available)

Location:  Parkview Elementary School
                  Virginia MN

Rate of Pay:  $15/Hr.

Start Date:  Training on 6/1/26
                    June 8, 2026 - Approx. August 21, 2026
                    Monday - Friday
                    Hours Vary - Work up to 29 hours per week.  (7:00 am - 5:30 pm)

Job Type:  Seasonal

Objective:  Summer Day Camp Staff provide a safe and fun atmosphere where children can make new friends, learn new skills, and enjoy being outside.

Job Duties:  

• Provides positive leadership and guidance to children in their camp groups.
• Participates in the duties of weekly themed activities, swimming, field trips, and indoor/outdoor supervision.
• Takes responsibility for maintaining discipline in assigned groups.
• Applies basic youth development principles in working with campers through communication, relationship development, respect for diversity, involvement, and empowerment of youth.
• Implements safety guidelines and assures campers are properly and always supervised.
• Works with co-counselor to be responsible for a group of 8 to 16 campers throughout the day.

Requirements:

• Previous experience working with children.
• Must be 17 years or older.
