- Foster a positive, collaborative, and inclusive environment.
- Planning and leading recreational and educational activities.
- Providing support and guidance with homework assignments.
- Offering a listening ear and a supportive presence for children.
- Working with other staff members and potentially with parents to address the needs of children.
- Implementing behavior plans and other guidelines provided by school staff or program coordinators.
- Administrative tasks like taking attendance or maintaining program records and supplies.
- Ensures children depart with an authorized person.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
- A positive and engaging attitude.
- Physically active�this role will involve walking, running, and playing with the kids.
- Ability to organize and coordinate work and materials.
- Flexible to adapt to different situations and needs of children.
- Clear and effective communication with children, parents, and other staff.
- Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with others.
- Dependable availability from school dismissal until 6 PM.
- Ability to pass a background check.
- Experience in a school-age care setting is a plus
- The position is from mid-August to the first part of June.
- Monday through Friday: 3:30 pm - 6:00 pm
- 15 early release days throughout the school year: 1:00 pm - 6:00 pm
- Occasional coverage of before care (6:30 am to 7:40 am) or Kindergarten EnrichMe (1:00 pm to 3:30 pm)
