Primary Responsibilities: The Maplewood Richmond Heights School District is seeking an outstanding educator for the position of Supplemental Math Teacher. The candidate must have a foundational knowledge of leading students toward the fulfillment of their potential for intellectual, emotional, and psychological growth and maturation in math.
Qualifications/Experience: Must have a valid Missouri teaching certificate in Elementary Education/Middle School Mathematics. Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree, Master's degree preferred
Terms of Employment: Full-time, employed for a ten-month (188 days) period as a certified educator. Compensation and benefits as provided by the Board of Education.
Essential Functions:
• Assists in developing, implementing, and assessing the district's elementary math curriculum as aligned with the Missouri Learning Standards.
• Assists with monitoring and analyzing student assessment/ test results and provides assistance to improve student performance as needed within the school and classrooms.
• Provides diagnostic, prescriptive and evaluative services for identified students.
• Provides individual and small group instruction for identified students.
• Participates in the planning and delivery of professional development to promote best practices in instruction and assessment, which also includes in-person modeling and co-teaching.
• Assists in the establishment and development of school and district math curriculum.
• Provides math resources for teachers, aides, and parents.
• Other duties as requested by the Building Principal.
