Operating at the intersection of engineering, product management, quality, and compliance, the Program Manager establishes robust project governance, leads cross functional teams, and ensures alignment across global R&D centers in Switzerland, Italy, and Malaysia. The role also plays a key part in portfolio steering, financial forecasting, and continuous improvement of Gutor’s development processes.
Program & Project Leadership
Lead the setup, planning, and execution of R&D programs for new monoblock and modular UPS platforms.
Structure projects according to the Gutor Offer Creation Process (OCP) and agile/scrum methodologies.
Define and drive project scope, milestones, deliverables, and resource plans in collaboration with the entire product teams.
Drive cross‑functional alignment and ensure timely decision‑making through structured governance and steering committees.
PMO Governance & Portfolio Management
Maintain and improve PMO standards, tools, templates, and reporting frameworks.
Participate in the company portfolio reviews and quarterly business reviews.
Provide consolidated visibility on project status, risks, dependencies, and mitigation actions.
Support the Head of R&D in preparing quarterly financial forecasts and budget tracking.
Compliance, Standards & Cybersecurity
Ensure all new UPS developments comply with global product norms, safety standards, and certification requirements (IEC, UL, etc.).
Coordinate with internal and external experts to integrate cybersecurity requirements into product architecture and lifecycle processes.
Monitor evolving regulatory landscapes and ensure project teams proactively address compliance impacts.
Cross‑Functional Collaboration
Work closely with engineering, product management, quality, industrialization, supply chain, and service teams.
Facilitate communication between global R&D hubs in Switzerland, Italy, and Malaysia.
Ensure seamless handover from development to industrialization and market launch.
Continuous Improvement
Promote agile practices and lean development principles to reduce time‑to‑market.
Identify opportunities to streamline processes, eliminate inefficiencies, and enhance team productivity.
Contribute to the evolution of Gutor’s development framework and PMO maturity.
Qualifications
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related technical field.
5+ years of experience in program or project management within industrial equipment, power electronics, or related technology sectors.
Proven experience managing complex, multi‑site R&D programs.
Technical & Professional Skills
Proficiency with agile/scrum methodologies and PM tools (Jira, MS Project, etc.).
Strong financial acumen for forecasting and budget management.
Good understanding of product development processes for electromechanical or power electronics systems.
Familiarity with global product standards and certification processes (IEC/UL/CE).
Knowledge of cybersecurity principles for industrial products is a strong advantage.
Good English skills verbal and written German and Italian languages will help
