The Mammography Technologist ensures high quality mammographic exams to ensure compassionate, patient-focused procedures in a professional and highly skilled manner.

The position is full-time, forty hours per week.  We will also consider candidates who are interested in part time, between 20 to 30 hours per week.

We are offering a hiring bonus up to $10,000 for eligible candidates.

Job duties:

  • Performs high quality digital Tomosynthesis mammography exams for interpretation.
  • Ensures that all ARRT, ACR and MQSA standards are met using excellent positioning skills.
  • Assists Mammography Supervisor by maintaining quality assurance requirements in accordance with the ACR and MQSA standards that include but are not limited to: weekly detector flat field calibration, weekly artifact evaluation, weekly phantom images, weekly SNR measurements, weekly viewing conditions, biweekly compression indicator, quarterly repeat / reject analysis, and semiannual geometry calibration and compression.
  • Make independent decisions regarding quality mammographic images.
  • Reports any changes in quality assurance testing or quality of the mammographic image by contacting Mammography Supervisor and / or Field Service Engineer.
  • Provides protection for patients and self in accordance with prescribed safety standards that include consistent and established policy on reject / repeat measurements and follows the state’s regulatory Radiation Protection Laws.
  • Makes conscious effort provide quality mammography with compassion and the least amount of discomfort as possible.
