    Chappaqua CSD is looking for a thoughtful and knowledgeable educator to serve in the anticipated probationary position of World Language Teacher (Spanish) at Robert E. Bell Middle School effective September 2, 2026.

    Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:

    • Develops and administers world language education curriculum, specifically in Spanish, consistent with school district goals and vision.
    • Familiar with ACTFL Standards and uses them for unit and lesson plan development.
    • Designs learning activities to demonstrate the application of Spanish to everyday life with knowledge and experience using ACTFL proficiency standards preferred.
    • Fosters a welcoming classroom environment that nurtures emotional well-being and a sense of belonging.
    • Uses NYS standards educational research to inform instructional practices.
    • Uses formative assessments to gauge student understanding.
    • Has experience with evidence-based social-emotional learning strategies to promote emotional intelligence and interpersonal skills. Knowledge of the RULER approach is preferred.
    • Uses knowledge of students and student performance when planning lessons.
    • Infuses culturally relevant practices to ensure that lessons reflect the diverse backgrounds and experiences of all students.
    • Integrates diverse perspectives and voices into instructional materials and resources to broaden students' understanding of the world.
    • Maintains high expectations for all students.
    • Engages in regular, collaborative professional development with the understanding that team efficacy is greater than individual efforts alone.

    Certification/Experience: 

    • Required: Spanish N-6 AND Spanish 7-12

    26/27 Salary Range: $73,019 - 155,921
