We are currently looking for General Labor for the following departments:

Freezer Bar

1st shift-7:00am-3:00pm

2nd shift-3:pm-11:00pm

Powder Department

2nd shift-2:00pm-10:00pm

3rd shift-10:00pm-6:00am

BASIC PURPOSE OF POSITION

To perform general production operation duties deemed necessary and requested by the supervisor or manager or lead. This does not include machine operation.

This position will require the employee to work overtime as needed. Overtime is scheduled based upon individual job responsibilities and the needs of the department.

MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Must follow Jel Sert safety procedures, GMP requirements and work instructions.
  • Perform different tasks as requested throughout the shift.
  • Follow supervisor/manager/lead instructions.
  • Learn new duties and tasks quickly.
  • Identify safety and quality problems.
  • Keep work area(s) clean and free of safety hazards.
  • Perform other work as required.

FOOD SAFETY/QUALITY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Follow applicable work procedures and instructions and monitor quality control points (QCP's).

Backup Redundant

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Good motor skills and hand/eye coordination.
  • Willingness to perform different tasks throughout a shift.
  • Ability to identify quality problems and follow instructions.
  • Basic knowledge of GMP's and Jel Sert safety practices.
  • No previous experience required.

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Manufacturing/Distribution and fast paced environment.
  • A full range of motion is required (reaching and lifting), lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Standing for the duration of a shift (8 or more hours).
  • Continuous work.
  • Possible exposure to various odors and powder dust.
  • Work independently.
  • Mandatory overtime during the week and/or weekend required as necessary.
