Note: This position is contingent upon contract award. Applicants must be U.S. Citizens and able to obtain and maintain the required security clearance for this role. While our company operates as a remote-first organization, this position requires hybrid onsite work in Battle Creek, Michigan for the duration of this contract.

Position Summary

The Web Developer / Engineer � Basic Level supports the design, development, testing, deployment, and sustainment of secure web-based applications supporting mission systems. This role performs assigned software development tasks with minimal supervision and interfaces with customers and project teams to implement requirements. The developer applies established development standards and security controls while contributing to client/server application modernization and web interface development in compliance with government security and certification requirements.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

Web Application Development and Support

  • Design, develop, enhance, debug, test, and implement web-based and client/server software applications.
  • Develop and maintain web pages and assist in porting legacy or client/server applications to web interfaces.
  • Utilize technologies such as C#, .NET, HTML, XML, PERL, Apache, and related tools to support application functionality.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve production issues related to software applications.
  • Research, test, build, and integrate new software components or products based on client requirements.
  • Address systems integration, platform compatibility, and multi-environment deployment challenges.

Requirements Analysis and Customer Support

  • Interface with customers, end users, and project teams to gather and clarify application requirements.
  • Consult with project teams to identify functional needs and implementation approaches.
  • Assist management with feasibility analysis for potential future development efforts.
  • Provide timely responses to user feedback, defect reports, and enhancement requests.

Testing, Documentation, and Sustainment

  • Participate in application testing, validation, and deployment activities.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of software documentation and user manuals.
  • Support ongoing sustainment activities including bug fixes, minor enhancements, and performance improvements.

Security, Compliance, and Standards

  • Develop and maintain applications in compliance with government security and certification requirements.
  • Apply secure coding practices in accordance with DoD 8570/8140 requirements and applicable security guidance.
  • Support compliance activities related to audits, vulnerability remediation, and configuration management.

Collaboration and Professional Development

  • Work effectively within cross-functional development teams with minimal supervision.
  • Demonstrate good customer relation skills while supporting mission and operational needs.
  • Follow established development standards, processes, and configuration management controls.

Minimum Requirements

  • Associate degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • Two (2) years of experience in scripting, software development, and web page design and development.
  • Hands-on experience utilizing C#, .NET, HTML, XML, PERL, and/or Apache.
  • Experience with SharePoint Online (SPO), DreamWeaver, FrontPage, or related web development tools.
  • Relevant certification from a nationally recognized technical authority.
  • Good customer relation and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Must possess an IT-II Non-Critical Sensitive security clearance or Tier 3 (T3).
  • DoD 8570/8140 compliance with an approved baseline certification for Category IAT Level II roles supporting web development with administrative or privileged access.

Compensation:

In accordance with pay transparency law, the expected salary range for this position is $89,000� $115,000 annually. The actual compensation offered will be determined based on factors such as the candidate�s experience, qualifications, skills, and location. We are committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. This posted range reflects our good faith estimate of the compensation we reasonably expect to offer for this role at the time of posting.
