JOB DESCRIPTION

Web Developer — Marketing

Atlas Systems  |  Marketing & Digital

Department

Marketing

Reports To

Chief Marketing Officer

Location

On-site / Hybrid / Remote

Employment Type

Full-Time

Experience

2–3 Years

About the Role

We’re looking for a Web Developer to support the Atlas Systems marketing team. You’ll build and maintain landing pages, help set up tracking, keep the website running well, and support our HubSpot CRM with basic workflow and form management.

This is a hands-on execution role. You’ll work closely with the marketing team on day-to-day requests and longer-term projects. We’re not looking for someone who knows everything — we’re looking for someone who is reliable, picks things up quickly, and cares about doing the work properly.

What You’ll Do

Build & Maintain Web Pages

  • Build and update landing pages for campaigns, product launches, and events
  • Make edits to the Atlas Systems website — copy changes, new sections, layout fixes
  • Ensure pages look good and work correctly on mobile and desktop
  • Fix broken links, formatting issues, and page errors as they come up

Tracking & Analytics

  • Set up UTM tracking for campaigns and make sure data flows into HubSpot correctly
  • Add and test tracking pixels for Google Ads, and LinkedIn
  • Help configure basic events in Google Tag Manager (form submissions, button clicks)
  • Flag when tracking looks off and work with the team to fix it

Page Speed

  • Run page speed checks using Google PageSpeed Insights and fix common issues
  • Compress images, clean up unused scripts, and apply basic performance best practices
  • Flag pages that are slow and propose straightforward fixes

HubSpot Support

  • Build and update forms in HubSpot and connect them to the right workflows
  • Support basic workflow setup — enrollment triggers, email sends, field updates
  • Maintain HubSpot landing page templates and make edits when needed
  • Help troubleshoot when forms aren’t submitting, workflows aren’t firing, or data looks wrong

On-Page SEO (Technical Fixes)

  • Write and update meta titles and meta descriptions for landing pages and website pages
  • Ensure every page has one H1 tag and that heading structure (H2, H3) follows a logical order
  • Add alt text to images that are missing it
  • Fix broken internal links and update outdated anchor text
  • Set up canonical tags on pages where duplicate content is a risk
  • Implement basic schema markup (Organization, BreadcrumbList) where applicable
  • Ensure redirect chains are cleaned up — 301s pointing directly to the final destination
  • Check and fix Open Graph and Twitter Card tags so pages preview correctly when shared
  • Work with the content team to ensure target keywords appear in page titles, headings, and URLs
  • Flag crawl issues spotted in Google Search Console and coordinate fixes

General Support

  • Work with the marketing team to understand what’s needed and deliver it on time
  • Keep a simple record of what’s been built, changed, or integrated
  • Speak up early if something is unclear, blocked, or will take longer than expected

What We’re Looking For

Core Coding Knowledge

  • HTML5 — semantic tags, page structure, forms, and accessibility attributes (alt, aria-label, role)
  • CSS3 — Flexbox, Grid, responsive design with media queries, and basic animations
  • JavaScript — DOM manipulation, event listeners, form validation, and working with the browser console
  • Able to read and edit someone else’s code without breaking it
  • Understands how a browser loads a page — HTML, CSS, JS execution order and what blocks rendering
  • Comfortable using browser DevTools — inspect elements, debug JS errors, check network requests
  • Basic Git usage — clone, commit, push, pull, and raise a pull request
  • Can work inside a CMS theme or template without needing to rebuild it from scratch

Tools & Platform Experience

  • 2–3 years of experience building and maintaining websites or web pages
  • Familiarity with HubSpot — forms, landing pages, and basic workflows
  • Some exposure to Google Tag Manager and GA4
  • Knows what UTM parameters are and how they flow into a CRM

Good to Have

  • HubSpot certifications (any — shows initiative)
  • Experience with Figma for reading design handoffs
  • Awareness of Core Web Vitals and what affects page speed
  • Exposure to email HTML for basic template edits
