Position Summary
Citadel Security USA is hiring a Full-Time Armed Security Officer for a site in Dillon that requires controlled access and consistent monitoring. This role blends gate coverage, vehicle patrol, and on-foot checks to help keep the property secure and running smoothly.
This assignment suits someone who can stay focused over long shifts and handle both stationary and active duties throughout the day.
Key Responsibilities
- Control access at entry points by checking credentials and authorizing entry
- Perform patrols using a vehicle across assigned areas
- Walk designated sections of the site to monitor conditions
- Watch for unauthorized activity, safety risks, or rule violations
- Maintain a visible armed presence to support overall security
- Respond to alarms or incidents following established procedures
- Record daily activity and incidents with clear, accurate details
- Stay in communication with supervisors and on-site contacts
- Follow all post orders, safety requirements, and company standards
Minimum Qualifications
- Must meet Colorado requirements for armed security personnel
- Valid driver’s license required
- Personal firearm required; must be carried out in accordance with applicable laws and company policy
- Strong observation and communication skills
- Ability to work consistent 12-hour shifts
- Reliable attendance and professional conduct
Preferred Qualifications
- Current armed certifications or qualifications
- Experience in armed security, patrol, or access control roles
- Familiarity with high-security or critical infrastructure environments
Work Environment
- Mix of gatehouse duties, mobile patrol, and foot patrol
- Combination of indoor and outdoor work depending on assignment
- Involves standing, walking, and driving for extended periods
- Day shift schedule requiring steady attention and awareness
