Job Description

AERMOR is hiring a Test and Evaluation Analyst with Undersea Warfare (USW) and Combat Systems experience to support the United States Navy with Operational Test and Evaluation of naval systems. Duties will be performed primarily on each business day on-site in Norfolk, VA.

Responsibilities Include:
  • Serving as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on USW and Combat Systems, including operation, maintenance, and tactical employment of systems such as:
    • MK 48 Heavyweight Torpedoes
    • MK 54 Lightweight Torpedoes
    • Sea-Launched Cruise Missile–Nuclear (SLCM-N)
    • Acoustic Device Countermeasure MK 5 (ADC MK 5)
    • MK58 Compact Rapid Attack Weapon (CRAW)
    • Hammerhead Encapsulated Effector (HEE)
  • Reviewing program documentation to include Required Operational Capabilities and Projected Operating Environment (ROC/POE), Concept of Operations (CONOPS), training manuals, and system technical documentation
  • Supporting the planning and development of operationally realistic test events and scenarios; analyzing resulting data to assess operational effectiveness and suitability in support of Navy missions
  • Assisting in drafting Test Plans in support of various acquisition and test events, including Operational Testing, Developmental Test support, Operational Assessments, and related activities
  • Supporting data collection, data reduction, and preliminary analysis to ensure validity and usability of test data
  • Assisting in development of test reports and supporting documentation, including operational assessments, summaries, and briefings
  • Supporting Modeling and Simulation (M&S) efforts to ensure realistic operational representation for test and evaluation
  • Drafting Naval correspondence and contributing to deliverables such as trip reports, technical reports, and progress reports
  • Attending meetings, coordinating with stakeholders, and supporting execution of assigned tasks
 
 Qualifying Requirements:
  • Must have an active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility
  • At least 8 years operational experience required, Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Microsoft Office proficiency (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) preferred
  • Minimum of four (4) years of experience operating, maintaining, and/or supporting USW or Combat Systems
  • Experience as a Sonar Technician Submarines (STS) or Fire Controlman (FT) Submarines is strongly preferred
  • Experience with fleet operations, training environments, or tactical employment of naval systems
  • Exposure to data analysis, statistics, or analytical methodologies preferred but not required
  • Ability to apply analytical methodologies to evaluate operational effectiveness and suitability of systems
  • Ability to contribute to clear and concise technical documentation, including Test Plans, reports, and briefings
  • Must be physically qualified to embark aboard U.S. Navy vessels/submarines in support of test execution (up to approximately 10 days underway)
