Responsible for directly tutoring individuals in the Nursing Program by asking and answering questions and demonstrating examples relating to the subject.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.
- Answer academic questions, providing examples relating to the subject.
- Evaluate and recommend tutoring materials.
- Assist in clarifying nursing concepts.
- Other related duties as assigned.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
The incumbent typically works in an office environment and uses a computer, telephone and other office equipment as needed to perform duties. The noise level in the work environment is typical of that of an office. Incumbent may encounter frequent interruptions throughout the work day.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
The employee is regularly required to sit, talk, or hear; frequently required to use repetitive hand motion, handle or feel, and to stand, walk, reach, bend or lift up to twenty (20) pounds.
Minimum Qualifications
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- At least 18 credit hours; Good academic standing; Overall GPA 3.0 in RNSG course
- Currently enrolled ADN student or graduate of an accredited ADN program.

- Mastery of courses being tutored
- Capable of working with both faculty and students
- Ability to be empathetic to students with difficulties
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to be well organized, task-oriented, and flexible

- Bilingual English/Spanish
