    Job Overview:
    We are seeking a highly motivated individual responsible for developing and delivering engaging and effective instruction to students in their assigned subject area. The position requires a passion for teaching, strong communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and parents.
     

    Key Responsibilities:
        Demonstrates an understanding of the curriculum, subject content, pedagogical knowledge and the needs of students by providing relevant learning experiences
        Plans using state and local school district curricula and standards, effective strategies, resources and data to address the differentiated needs of all students
        Systematically chooses a variety of diagnostic, formative, and summative assessment strategies and instruments that are valid and appropriate for the content and student population. 
        Challenges and supports each student's learning by providing appropriate content and developing skills that address individual learning differences
        Systematically gathers, analyzes, and uses relevant data to measure student progress to inform instructional content and delivery methods, and to provide timely and constructive feedback to both students and parents
        Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes learning and respect for all students
        Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement school-wide initiatives and programs
        Participate in professional development activities to enhance teaching skills and stay current with best practices in education
        Attend parent-teacher conferences and communicate regularly with parents regarding student progress and performance
     

    Qualifications:
        Bachelor's degree in education or related field
        Valid Georgia teaching certification in the relevant subject area
        Embodies the core beliefs of the Colquitt County School District
        Strong knowledge of subject matter and ability to effectively communicate this knowledge to students
        Ability to develop engaging and effective instructional materials
        Strong communication and interpersonal skills
        Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and parents
        Passion for teaching and commitment to student success
     

    Physical Demands:
    While performing the duties of this job, the employer is frequently required to sit for extended periods.
