Job Description

Objective of job:



  • Optimization of productivity and quality for production processes installed in the Duncan Plant. 

  • Implementation of new processes as part of the industrialization process.


 


Principal Activities:



  • Increase efficiency and reduce cycle times of production process within area of responsibility by optimizing process parameters or equipment

  • Eliminate manufacturing waste through process optimization. (time, scrap, effort, etc.)

  • Establish and maintain machine and process capability for production processes within area of responsibility

  • Assist production and maintenance in isolating complex manufacturing issues within area of responsibility, material, or machine functionality related

  • Create, maintain and update production documentation (Process Data Sheets, Work Instructions, P-FMEA, Re-Release Sheets, etc.) as required by IATF 16949 within area of responsibility

  • Cooperate with Process Development and Corporate Process Engineering teams in optimizing and deveoping process improvements and new production processes

  • Validate process and product characteristics (CC’s, SC’s and IC’s) as defined by Product Development, Process Development or Quality Department

  • Establish reference and boundary samples in cooperation with Product Development, Process Development and Quality for production processes within area of responsibility

  • Support Equipment Planner in defining process-specific input (acceptance criteria, quality requirement, etc.) for Requirement Manuals for new production equipment

  • Review engineering change requests (ECR) and give feedback for implementation cost

  • Investigate new technologies to enable DAA to stay competitive in Automotive Manufacturing

  • Define and manage various plant level improvment projects related to the area of responsibility

  • Other duties as assigned by management to ensure optimal plant performance

  • Some travel is required


 


Job Requirements:



  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience.

  • 1 to 2 years of knowledge with JIT Principles

  • 1 to 2 years of Automated Manufacturing

  • 1 to 2 years of Plastic Processing, Continuous Improvement and Analytical Troubleshooting experience

  • Experience with 2D and 3D Modeling Software is desired.

  • Knowledge with Industrial Automation and Controls is a plus.
