Position Summary
As the Business Development Manager, you will manage, maintain, and grow new customer accounts through providing excellent customer service and navigating customer interactions to facilitate a strong customer relationship and mutual trust in the services provided. You will act the liaison between the customer to the internal operations, sales, and administrative team of SES.

Essential duties and responsibilities
- Ensuring Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and always acting in a safe manner.
- Prospects for new customers that align with our Environmental Services Division
- Delivers clear and effectively written proposals/quotes for customers.
- Will initialize new customer onboarding with the sales support team.
- Create quotes for any new business account
- Create profiles for any new business account
- Update CRM with all new business activity
- Will transition accounts to operations after a period of 1 year or sooner with management approval.
- Coordinates RFPs (request for proposal) between broader sales team, finance, and operations.
- Responsible for identifying RFP opportunities such as monitoring online bid sites for potential work contracts.
- Coordinates sales effort with sales management, sales support, operations, and environmental services groups.
- Expedites the resolution of customer problems and complaints.
- Supplies management with updates on customer needs, problems, interests, competitive activities.
- Assures the company image is developed and maintained favorably with customers and suppliers.
- Employees who drive a company vehicle (even on occasion) must have and maintain a valid driver’s license and insurability through the company’s insurance carrier.
- Interpret and document customer needs and be able to communicate these needs effectively to operations.
- Go above and beyond regular account reviews and feedback meetings to ensure customer satisfaction
- Achieving assigned sales budget
- Must be comfortable regularly working in various industrials/ manufacturing environments and adhering to the necessary PPE and safety requirements.
Education and Experience
Required
- Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Must have experience in sales quote management within the industrial/ environmental services industry
- Excellent time management skills
- Must have a bachelors in sales, communications, business etc. or equivalent experience
- Ability to thrive in a team environment
Preferred
- Aptitude for comprehending technical information
- Pre-existing knowledge of state and federal hazardous waste regulations
- Prior experience in contract negotiations
- Experience maintaining extensive digital sales logs and overall record keeping
- 3+ years of sales experience in the industrial/environmental services industry
- Must have experience within Salesforce

- Travel required, including overnight stays as needed
