3-5 hours per month; every 4th Thursday of the month

Essential Job Functions

  • Participate in board meetings and strategic planning sessions
  • Provide oversight of organizational policies and finances
  • Support fundraising and outreach efforts
  • Advocate for the organization’s mission and programs
  • Ensure compliance with legal and ethical standards
  • Act in a position of trust for the community to ensure the effective governance of the organization
  • Monitor and amend all board policies and procedures
  • Participate in the development of the Strategic Plan
  • Support and participate in evaluating the Executive Director

     

    Essential Job Requirements

    • Previous board or leadership experience preferred

    • Commitment to the organization’s mission and values

    • Strong communication and teamwork skills

    • Knowledge of non-profit governance

    • Attendance at community events (preferred)

    •  

      Legal and Finance experience preferred at this time, but other backgrounds will also be considered
