About CMHA Niagara
CMHA Niagara is a non-profit, charitable organization committed to promoting mental wellness and to improving the lives of people in its service area who have mental illness as well as their families. CMHA Niagara achieves its mission through a number of programs and services.

Essential Job Functions
- Participate in board meetings and strategic planning sessions
- Provide oversight of organizational policies and finances
- Support fundraising and outreach efforts
- Advocate for the organization’s mission and programs
- Ensure compliance with legal and ethical standards
- Act in a position of trust for the community to ensure the effective governance of the organization
- Monitor and amend all board policies and procedures
- Participate in the development of the Strategic Plan
- Support and participate in evaluating the Executive Director
Essential Job Requirements
Previous board or leadership experience preferred
Commitment to the organization’s mission and values
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Knowledge of non-profit governance
Attendance at community events (preferred)
Legal and Finance experience preferred at this time, but other backgrounds will also be considered
