Job Description

The purpose and objective of this position is to meet the Department and Company's goals of making safe and timely drop and hook deliveries of our demountable cargo boxes between our McDonough Facility and our Spoke Locations throughout the state of Georgia.

This position will  be required to support and assist with daytime task if and when needed.
Normal work schedule is Monday through Thursday night. This normal schedule is only modified during Holidays and special events.

  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Must have Class (A) CDL.
  • Must be able to operate stick shift tractor.
  • Must have and be able to maintain DOT Medical Certification.
  • Must have and be able to maintain valid Georgia Drivers License.
  • Must be able to work until assignment is completed, there is no definite quitting time (will comply with the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administrators hours of service regulation).
  • Must be able to report to work at scheduled time.  Flexibility is a must as supporting day shift support may be needed at times. 
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with people at all levels in a professional manner.
  • Must have a minimum of 1 year continuous experience driving a tractor trailer. Either over the road or local.
  • Must have experience, knowledge of how to properly use electronic logging devices as well as completing daily pre/post-trip vehicle inspections.
  • Must be able to pass background check (i.e. police backgrounds, reference checks…).
    • Acceptable Motor Vehicle Record:

    • Cannot have more than two (2): moving violations and/or at-fault vehicle accidents (any combination) in the past three (3) years (for speeding, violations must be under 16mph)

    • Cannot have more than one (1): speeding violation of 16-29mph OR at-fault accident in the past three (3) years
    • Cannot have a major violation such as: DUI/DWI, hit-and-run, reckless driving, and/or super speeder (29+mph) violation in the past five (5) years
    • If an employee’s driver’s license has been suspended, revoked, or expired
