Job Description

Job Summary:
We are seeking a dependable and organized Transportation Driver to join our team at a skilled nursing facility. This position is responsible for coordinating all aspects of resident transportation to and from medical appointments.

CNA certification is strongly preferred, as it enables hands-on assistance with residents during transport when needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and oversee scheduling of resident transportation

  • Ensure residents are transported safely and on time to medical appointments

  • Drive facility vehicle when needed

  • Communicate with nursing staff to ensure resident transport needs are met

  • Provide hands-on assistance to residents during transport, when necessary

  • Maintain vehicle cleanliness, fuel levels, and schedule maintenance

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED (required)

  • Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification (strongly preferred)

  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record (required)

  • 1 year of experience in a skilled nursing facility or nursing home (preferred)

  • Strong organizational, communication, and multitasking skills

  • Ability to lift and assist residents as needed during transport
