Now Hiring: Distribution Associate

Be the Face of the Mission!

Location: [City/Latham], NY

Status: Full-Time (40 Hours), Non-Exempt

Reports to: Director of Warehouse / Warehouse Floor Manager

The "Vibe" Check:

Are you high-energy, detail-oriented, and ready to be the bridge between our warehouse and the community? As a Distribution Associate, you are the final, vital link in the chain. You're the one ensuring our partner agencies get exactly what they need-accurately, safely, and with "Top Tier" customer service. If you like staying active and want to see the direct impact of your work every single day, this is your moment!

Your Impact (The Role):

You'll be the "Smooth Operator" of our distribution dock, managing the flow of product from our shelves to the vehicles of the agencies serving our neighbors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • The Stage Manager: Proactively stage agency orders in the distribution area, ensuring everything is ready for a seamless pick-up.
  • Accuracy Advocate: Validate invoices and catch errors before they leave the dock. You're the "Final Check" that ensures our data and our inventory are always "Locked In."
  • Customer Service Pro: Provide a welcoming, professional experience for our partner agencies and donors. You represent the heart of the Food Bank!
  • Inventory Stewardship: Keep the distribution cooler stocked and ensure all products are clean, safe, and ready for their next stop.
  • Safety & Standards: Maintain a clean, safe workspace (interior and exterior) and follow all power equipment safety protocols. No shortcuts when it comes to safety!
  • Mission Support: Work independently and as a team player to make sure "No Crumbs" are left behind when it comes to serving the community.

Who You Are:

  • Qualified: You are 18+ years old.
  • Skilled: You have experience operating power equipment (or the drive to obtain and maintain your certification with our help!).
  • Reliable: You take pride in being on time and getting the job done accurately.
  • Mission-Driven: You understand that every box you move is a meal for someone in need.

Physical Requirements:

This is a fast-paced, "Hands-On" role. You should be comfortable with:

  • Lifting up to 80 pounds without assistance.
  • Staying active: standing, bending, pulling, and reaching throughout the day.
  • Working in a warehouse environment (exposed to the "Hot Tamale" summer heat and "Iced Coffee" winter chill).
  • Note: This is an on-site role-no work-from-home here, because the real action happens on the dock!

Why Join Us?

At the Food Bank, we don't just "move boxes." We fuel the community. You'll work in a respectful, professional environment where your physical hard work is met with a massive sense of purpose.
