Product Costing Analyst - Your future position?
As a Global Product Costing Analyst in our Budapest office, you will apply your strong interest in cost accounting, analysis, and attention to detail to ensure that stakeholders across Givaudan receive accurate and timely costing information. Your work will support sound decision-making and contribute to efficient and transparent cost management. You will be part of the Global Costing Team within Global Taste & Wellbeing Operations Controlling, reporting to the Product Costing Manager. You will focus on the global monitoring of key costing parameters and the execution of comprehensive costing activities. This role allows you to broaden your expertise in a global environment and contribute to shaping efficient costing processes across the organization. You will connect with colleagues worldwide and be part of a team that values partnership, integrity, and continuous improvement.
Main responsibilites:
Monitor and ensure accuracy of costing data:
Regularly track key costing metrics such as purchase price and production order variances, freight and duty, raw material overheads, yields, and inventory valuations. Identify and analyze variances, support root-cause remediation, and help establish preventive measures.
Execute costing activities:
Perform standard costing runs, ongoing reviews, and annual updates. Analyze product actual cost trends, address inconsistencies, and ensure that material master data is accurate and current.
Provide analytics and reporting support:
Deliver analytical reports to support business reviews, audits, and internal control processes. Respond to queries raised through the AskMe platform, manage ad-hoc analyses, and assist GBS Controllers during month-end closing. Promote best practices and procedural harmonization in line with Givaudan guidelines.
Partner across teams:
Build effective working relationships through clear communication and collaboration, contributing to the team's goal of being a global center of costing expertise.
You Have
A bachelor's or master's degree in accounting, Finance, Controlling
At least 2 years of experience in a related role, ideally within an activity-based costing environment and with exposure to production and supply chain flows
Solid working knowledge of SAP, BI, and MS Excel (minimum 2 years' experience)
Fluent English communication skills, both written and spoken
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data effectively
A detail-oriented, accurate, and resilient approach to work
Proven ability to collaborate across teams and levels in a multinational environment
