Job Description

Financial Accountant

12 Month Fixed Term



We are looking for an experience Financial Accountant who will report to the Finance Supervisor Japan and will be part of the BRP APAC financial reporting team.  As part of your role, you’ll be significantly contributing to the financial reporting and tax compliances of BRP Japan. This role offers an exciting opportunity to leverage your professional qualification while working across financial reporting, tax compliance, banking operations and financial analysis.

YOU’LL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO: 

EOM duties

  • Participate in EOM closures for BRP Japan.

  • Assist in monthly / quarterly / and annual financial statements in compliance with relevant accounting standards

  • Prepare BS reconciliations


General Transactions

  • Account payable process

  • Expense claims process

  • Accounts receivable process


Taxation

  • Support HR team for all payroll related tax compliances

  • Support Finance Supervisor for all company related tax compliances

 

Audit and Risk Management

  • Support APAC and broader BRP finance team for all Internal Audit related projects 

  • Support Finance Supervisor and Japan Country Manager to identify risks 


System Requirements

  • Ideally past experience with IBM Controller, FX4, PRM

  • MS Office suite must (especially Excel at advanced level)

 

YOU’LL THRIVE IN THIS ROLE IF YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS AND QUALITIES: 

  • University graduated in accounting or finance related

  • CPA qualified or equivalent

  • Integrity and honesty are critical to the success of this role

  • Bilingual will be highly preferred (Japanese speaking with 2nd language English or Mandrin etc)

  • Previous exposure to wholesale distribution, automotive industry ideal.
