Job Description

We are currently hiring a Technical Manager to join our team as soon as possible.

The Technical Manager oversees all technical aspects of the DU EMEA property on behalf of the operator, owner and investors, with a focus on asset management, operational efficiency, regulatory compliance and occupant satisfaction.

Role description

Technical operations & maintenance

  • Manage the planning and traceability of preventive, corrective and regulatory maintenance interventions.
  • Oversee technical operations of the building (HVAC, high/low voltage power distribution, fire safety systems, lifts, etc.) and monitor site works to ensure service continuity.
  • Maintain technical documentation and as-built files (DOE/DMLT).
  • Manage technical incidents and emergency situations.

Regulatory compliance, safety & risk management

  • Ensure compliance with applicable regulations, including the Building and Housing Code, Labour Code and ERP regulations.
  • Participate in safety committees, audits and periodic inspections.
  • Contribute to risk management related to fire safety, security, accessibility and hygiene.

Service provider & contract management

  • Supervise Multi-technical Service Providers and ensure quality and contractual compliance of interventions.
  • Monitor contract performance (KPIs, SLAs, reporting).
  • Manage procurement processes, service contracts and technical review meetings.

Financial & works management

  • Contribute to the multi-year works plan.
  • Support the preparation and execution of CAPEX projects.
  • Prepare, monitor and analyse OPEX budgets.

Stakeholder management & reporting

  • Act as the technical point of contact for service providers, building users and external stakeholders.
  • Represent DU EMEA with local authorities on technical matters.
  • Provide clear reporting to DU EMEA, LIMA management and stakeholders, and propose solutions to technical issues or disputes.

Energy performance

  • Monitor and analyse energy consumption (electricity, gas, water) and drive optimisation initiatives.
  • Manage regulatory energy obligations, including the Tertiary Decree (OPERAT platform).
  • Support CSR initiatives aimed at reducing environmental impact while maintaining compliance and the DU experience.

Skills

  • Minimum 8 years of professional work experience in technical operations, including experience in managing service providers.
  • Experience in a hospitality environment.
  • Solid knowledge of multi-technical operations and maintenance (HVAC, high/low voltage, plumbing, elevators, Fire Safety Systems).
  • Mastery of (fire) safety regulations and Public Access Building (ERP) operations.
  • Proven experience in contract management and the ability to manage an FM / multi-technical contract (KPI, RACI, SLA).
  • Experience in budget planning and monitoring (CAPEX/OPEX).
  • Good understanding of maintenance management software (GMAO).

Education & Languages

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, HVAC Engineering, Real Estate Management, or a related field.
  • Languages: French – Fluent; English – Advanced; any other language as an advantage.
