DEFINITION OF DUTIES: 7th/8th Grade Volleyball Coach at middle school level.  Build 7-12 volleyball program under direction of Head High School Volleyball Coach. Plan and conduct practices focusing on skill development, strategy, and teamwork. Regularly assess players' skills and conference with families, as necessary, regarding the athletic performance of their student. Communicate effectively with players, families, administration, and other coaches. Establish and maintain standards of athlete behavior and provide proper supervision of athletes at all times. Act as a team and WDSD representative and exemplify sportsmanship, maintaining appropriate conduct towards players, officials, and spectators. Work with the Head High School Coach to determine game strategy based on the team's capabilities. Assist in the facilitation of the summer camp.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

Knowledge of volleyball skills; ability to communicate with middle school students, parents, public and administration; knowledge of first aid techniques; experience as volleyball coach and/or player is preferred.
