Job Title:  Concession & Retail Attendant
 
Location:  Dixon Springs Swimming Pool, Golconda, IL
 
Area of Focus: Community Collaboration 
 
Program(s): Supported Employment 

Immediate Supervisor: Pool Site Manager 
 
 Hours of Work: Call-in/ Seasonal 
 
Concession & Retail Attendant Minimum Qualifications:  Must be at least 16 years old; obtain a Food Handler Certificate (paid for by Arrowleaf) during the last week of June. Preference given to individuals with prior experience in food service, concession, retail, or customer-facing roles and interest in hospitality, retail, or youth-centered work environments.
 
Concession & Retail Attendant Skills & Knowledge: Ability to operate a point-of-sale (POS) system (training provided); must be able to work flexible, on-call hours, including weekends and holidays; strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team; must pass a background check and complete Arrowleaf onboarding
 
Concession & Retail Attendant Special Requirements: Ability to stand for extended periods, especially during peak hours; must be able to lift up to 30 lbs and perform cleaning and restocking tasks; comfortable working in outdoor temperatures during summer months

Concession & Retail Attendant Job duties include, but are not limited to:
  • Greet customers, take food and merchandise orders, and operate POS system (training provided)
  • Prepare and serve food and beverages safely and efficiently
  • Restock concession and retail inventory throughout the day
  • Maintain cleanliness of concession stand, equipment, and eating areas
  • Complete routine janitorial tasks, including sweeping, wiping surfaces, and emptying trash
  • Follow all health and safety regulations
  • Report supply needs or equipment concerns to supervisor
  • Provide friendly and professional customer service
  • Participate in on-the-job training and attend scheduled meetings or updates

Salary Range: $13.00 - $15.75 per hour
