JOB TITLE: Fiber Plant Manager
FLSA STATUS: EXEMPT
REPORTS TO: Site Leader
SUMMARY:
Plans, directs and controls all activities of AJ Nonwovens Fiber Extrusion operation consisting of 50 M pounds of fiber extrusion capacity with approx. 70 associates with 3 production team leads and full technical and maintenance staff on-site. This operation supports fiber requirements for AJNW operations and direct outside sales. Looking for a hands-on process focused and involved leader.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Integrated with Senior Leadership team participating in overall Business Strategy development
- Drives profitable growth
- Planning and scheduling for fiber production
- Drive IT improvements with current systems and processes
- Dynamic leader who can act as change agent on our LEAN journey
- Ensures Fiber operations are acting with synergy within total site
- Develops Fiber metrics consistent with business performance objectives
- Accountable and responsible for Safety, Quality and Productivity of Fiber Operations
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s Degree, Chemical Engineering a plus
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and JD Edwards
- Strong verbal/written communication skills and basic arithmetic
- Extrusion experience highly desired
- Ability to read and interpret complex documentation
- Previous leadership experience in a technical or manufacturing environment.
- Extensive Leadership background is highly valued
- Working in a union environment a plus

Standard work hours will be 7am – 4pm. Nights and/or weekend coverage is probable.
