Description

 

The NQELC volunteer will assist YMCA staff in carrying out daily activities of the center, including arts & crafts, fine and gross-motor activities, music, reading, science, and dramatic play, as well as helping with snacks and mealtimes, general cleaning and organizing of toys and equipment as needed, occasional office tasks, and interacting with parents/guardians.

 

 

 

The South Shore YMCA North Quincy Learning Center is located at One Heritage Drive in North Quincy, MA.

Requirements

Volunteer must be responsible and reliable, and have appropriate communication skills. Must be able to follow directions and work well in a team, as well as independently when needed.  Volunteer must be able to interact with children using age-appropriate communication skills and positive guidance techniques. Prior experience with children ages 0-6 is preferred.
